BY LAND and SEA” is Doug’s first solo CD with eight original songs under the pseudonym, “All Clear”. He plays all the instruments and wrote seven original songs, co-writing “Precious Love” with Brenda Simon.

Doug has taken the musical arranging he is known for and created a wonderful collection of ocean influenced, airy pieces and four songs which reflect his musical origins in drums and rhythm. With a cinematic feel you will lose yourself in the movement of the music.

The first half of the CD is four beautifully orchestrated pieces taking the listener on an emotional journey to conclusion of peace in “Going Home”.

The second half is a celebration of rhythm and humor. Beginning with the straight ahead contemporary piece “Precious Love” to the joyful “Bug Hoe Down”; then ending in an orchestral fanfare of life with “Jungle Symphony”.

“I’m enjoying your new CD. Especially “Voices to Heaven”  — we so seldom hear “The Lord’s Prayer” anymore. The song reminds me of something our preacher noticed several years ago at Wednesday prayer meeting. We usually have 1 person at each table pray aloud — all tables at the same time. The preacher commented what a wonderful sound it was to hear all the voices in prayer and that was how God heard all our prayers, like music to HIS ears. This Wed, as I listened I thought of your new song.

I'm amazed at all the different sounds/instruments in the CD. It sounds like an entire orchestra performing.” —Debra

“I enjoy this CD, but I guess that “Angels Cry” will always be my favorite! I played his CD in the car, jived to the “Bug Hoe Down” and almost cried with emotion to “Voices to Heaven”. “Going Home” it starts with a horn of sorts…I think of it as the blowing of the Shofar, the signal from God calling us home.” —Mary
