WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS

Watercolor Painting is my first love. Oddly watercolor painting was initially used for preliminary oil paintings, background work, cartoons even. Botanical and wildlife art is perhaps the oldest and most notable watercolor art.

Today it is considered more difficult than oil painting as it is unforgiving. You cannot paint over mistakes, many of the pigments stain the paper and there is no way to remove them. On the fun side - you can truly paint with water. One drop of water added to wet paint, or dry has completely different results and the challenge is learning to control each.

The vibrant autumn, the woods, rivers, truly a wonderland of nature from Brenda's life in Michigan.
"Band of Angels" I loved the saxophone expression of giving all he had! It was a fun piece!	"Fairy Bunny" Something so endearing about these creatures. "Fairy Bunny" is Brenda's fantasy.	"The Walk 2" commissioned I couldn't resist revisiting this!
"Back In Time" is based on Anne Hathaway's Cottage in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England.	"Falling" Living in Northern Michigan surrounded by lakes and woods is reflected in this piece with Brenda's love of nature.	"Waiting On Love" The anticipation of a bird's flight is riveting. You don't dare look away or you will miss the moments you have to observe.
	"Shakespearean Cottage" Brenda's cottages are her most loved pieces, full of happy memories and a deep love for England.
