{"id":181,"date":"2011-02-23T23:11:25","date_gmt":"2011-02-24T07:11:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.brendasimon.com\/blog\/?p=181"},"modified":"2011-02-23T23:11:25","modified_gmt":"2011-02-24T07:11:25","slug":"auto-post-to-facebook","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brendasimon.com\/blog\/auto-post-to-facebook\/","title":{"rendered":"Auto Post to Facebook"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For my clients who are running a blog and a\u00a0Facebook web page for their business there is a wonderful handy tool to write your blog and have it auto-post to your Facebook account.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook application is called <a href=\"http:\/\/api.networkedblogs.com\/api\/email.go?k=blogregistered_100000622698752_129852927715&amp;u=http:\/\/apps.facebook.com\/blognetworks\/\"><strong>NetworkedBlogs <\/strong><\/a><strong>. <\/strong>It is not new, but works seamlessly. It can be a bit daunting. You &#8220;grant permissions&#8221;, which always seems vague to me. I didn&#8217;t see clearly &#8220;what&#8221; I was granting other than information on my Facebook page. Since I am a proponent of privacy this was the biggest hurdle for me.<\/p>\n<p>There is one step missing. Once you have listed your blog with NetworkedBlogs <strong>while<\/strong> you are in the application screen you need to hit &#8220;PublishTest&#8221;, then &#8220;Click to View&#8221; and there it is on your web page wall.\u00a0That wasn&#8217;t spelled out in the directions I was using, but could be because Facebook frequently tweaks and updates. Mission accomplished in about 20 minutes &#8211; mostly due to my curiosity in reading everything!<\/p>\n<p>You have to verify your blog. If you aren&#8217;t used to web code &#8211; I suggest the &#8220;Verify through Friends&#8221; choice to keep it less frustrating.<\/p>\n<p>GREAT tool to drive your website.
